PGI

Protected Geographical Indication (PGI) is a European program for the protection of unique foods that have a good reputation and are authentically linked to the area where they are produced. With its PGB label, Welsh Lamb is in good company with, among other things, Parma ham and wonderful cheeses such as Camembert and Danablu.

The PGB certificate is given to promote and preserve the production of local quality food and agricultural products, maintain their basic idea and protect them from imitation. With PGB-certified lamb from Wales, you are guaranteed the best quality meat, based on the animals’ lives in the Welsh countryside and centuries-old traditions.
